I am a historian of Modern Europe getting my doctorate at Stanford University. I focus in particular on the social and political history of nineteenth- and twentieth-century Germany. My research interests include the history of gender and sexuality, legal history, and the history of science and mathematics.

Before coming to Stanford, I took my Bachelor's Degree at Amherst College, a Master of Science at the London School of Economics and Political Science, and worked as a Legal Assistant at a Boston law firm.

I am currently finishing my dissertation "Homosexuality and the State in Cold War Germany."

I will be joining George Mason University’s Department of History and Art History as an assistant professor of modern German history in Fall 2019.
